What is Wonder Sensory?
Wonder is a family-run sensory room at The Yard in Burnopfield, County Durham. Children can explore fibre-optic lights, bubble tubes, soft play and tactile toys in small-group or private sessions.
We have pre-walking baby slots for parents who'd like their little ones to be only with other tiny babies, and open slots for mixed ages.
How do I book?
Pick a slot on the timetable or use the Book a session button, which takes you to our secure online booking page. You can also get in touch, or message us on Instagram and Facebook.
Can I just turn up?
We recommend pre-booking. Walk-ins are subject to availability, so book ahead to secure a place.

How many adults can come with each child?
Each child’s ticket includes up to two adults. Every child using the room needs a ticket, including newborns and older children. Any additional adults need an extra-adult add-on.
Where can I park?
The Yard offers limited free parking. If the car park is full, street parking should be available in the surrounding area.
How do I know my child is safe?
We have a safe venue that will always have a member of staff on hand. They take the safety of your children with maximum importance and will be ensuring their safety throughout your visit.
What if we need to cancel?
Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable, including illness and last-minute changes. Please read the visit information before booking.
